Because of poverty and lack of job- and education opportunities they have to find a way to make money. According to UNAIDS there is more than 2400 sex workers in Sierra Leone. Besides that there is a lot of other vulnerable girls who experience assault, abuse and rape. Even though they often are stigmatized by society we know that they are working as sex workers to survive. Not because they like their occupation. In our office we have free educational program such as tailoring, hair dressing and computer classes. Our employees and volunteers are distributing flyers and condoms to make the girls and women protects themselves.
